＂Conquer the Island"
意思就是＂征服小島＂的意思。
不過我一剛開始聽還以為它是在說＂Conquer the alien"
聽了好幾次之後，才知道她說的是＂Island"
因為A就有蝴蝶的發音，多聽幾次之後才知道它說的是＂Alien"
所以是＂征服小島＂的意思

to keep/hold somebody/something at bay 意思是不讓somebody/something 靠近/發生, 通常是指敵人或是不好的事情.
試著翻譯如下:
You can keep the man in black at bay for only so long.
你不讓這個穿黑衣服的人靠近的時間也只能這麼久了.
你能牽制住這個穿黑衣服的人的時間不多了.

在康軒版那一課的課文中 for the money 之所以加 the 因為文中有提到 他們是為了幫社團籌款買CD PLAYER 和 NEW OUTFITS 有指定錢的用途 所以為了這筆錢 才用for the money
但是 for money 單純是為了錢 也就是沒有特定用途 錢賺越多越好了 例如: 為了錢背叛大家 見錢眼開 這一類的 只需用for money

最近我們證明了無論在切片實驗或活體實驗，古柯鹼均會造成前額葉皮層與阿控伯核（伏隔核）的氧化壓力指標上升；若再施以抗氧化劑Tempol，則可使抗氧化指標完全降回原始狀態。
此外，老鼠實驗顯示Tempol降低了古柯鹼造成的亢奮，並減緩亢奮的發展。
我們於本篇報告中使用了PC12細胞進行體外實驗，透過測量氧化壓力，以研究抗氧化劑（如Tempol）如何降低古柯鹼毒性。
因此，我們在實驗中將用古柯鹼促使PC12細胞死亡。我們用特定的螢光探針量測粒線體的超氧化自由基生成狀況 (所用儀器為MitoSox Red©)，並測量過氧化物的生成量 (所用儀器為H2DCF-DA©)，並藉此二指標推算氧化壓力。
抗氧化劑Tempol是一種自由基清除者，並且他有類似超氧化物歧化酶的作用，我們以Tempol來研究添加外部抗氧化劑對降低古柯鹼促成的死亡及降低氧化壓力之效果。
